I had recently seen an orthopedic specialist because my back had started to ache more than usual. After some x-rays and examinations, I was diagnosed with Kyphosis. This is when the spine curves forward, not to the side like Scoliosis. It was determined that the best thing would be for me to have a surgery, otherwise as the years would progress, so would the curving of my spine, which in turn would run the risk of putting pressure on my lungs. So much so that it would affect my breathing. So the doctors said I should have the surgery in the near future, while my body was still young and strong. Man, first my left eye, and now this?! What kind of karma was I living out? But being the doer I was I said, “Fine, let’s get it done with.”
It was nearing a year since we had moved to Minnesota, so naturally Mom was getting antsy. After looking into it she said I should have my surgery in L.A. at the famed Shriners Hospital. Not only did they have great doctors there, but the medical costs would be taken care of as well. After considering my options I actually agreed, and soon we were planning the move back to California. Mom wasn’t keen about returning to the L.A. area, so she decided on Riverside, about sixty miles or so away.
Meanwhile, Melinda’s flirtations had kept up and one night while sitting together at a park bench at Minnehaha Falls with no one around she decided to take her seduction up a few levels.
