just as I get the nerve to once again start feeling.

You step back in with your gray demeanor,

approaching storm, giving me a soul fever.

To remind me not to get too comfortable in peace of

heart and mind,

once more wrapping my heart in caution tape with the

tightest bind.

so willing to throw everything away on something so

small.

your house always wins as I lose my voice.

There’s no rhyme nor reason,

only devastating treason,

in the blink of an eye you let the breeze in.

At any time whirling into a fatal gust,

uncontrollable shakes in my misguided trust.

More about prevention than loving,

no whispering sweet nothing,

only thing being muttered are threats of dumping.
